At the Tioga County Homeless Initiative, we are humbled by the generosity and compassion of our community. Your support, whether through financial contributions or donations of essential items, plays a vital role in helping us provide a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for those experiencing homelessness in Tioga County.

Monetary donations are always needed and deeply appreciated, as they allow us to continue day-to-day operations, respond quickly to urgent needs, and offer stability and support to our residents. Every dollar goes directly toward making a difference in someone’s life, offering not just shelter but also a sense of dignity and hope.

In addition to financial gifts, we are currently in need of a variety of physical items. On the personal care side, items such as socks, bath towels, pillows, shampoo, conditioner, shaving cream, razors, toothpaste, toothbrushes, and body wash are especially helpful. These essentials help our guests feel clean, cared for, and respected during a difficult time in their lives.

We also depend on donations of household and cleaning supplies like laundry detergent, dryer sheets, hand soap, hand sanitizer, trash bags, and paper goods including toilet paper, tissues, paper towels, and napkins. Kitchen-related items such as disposable plates and cups, coffee, sugar, creamer, milk, and butter or margarine help us maintain a sense of normalcy and comfort for our residents during meals.

Office supplies are another area of need. Items like staples, notebooks, binders, toner, writing tablets, white-out, file folders, printer paper, and both small and large envelopes help us manage day-to-day shelter operations effectively.

As we prepare for seasonal needs, outdoor supplies such as rock salt are also welcomed. We also gratefully accept miscellaneous items that can be of use to the shelter or to those we serve.
